my winter vacation

Last 2nd march, I went to the land of Irish, Ireland (to be precise) with another 2 friends of mine to spend our winter break holidays there. we went for a  6 days 5 nights vacation and stayed at my cousin's house, Kak Yang in Dublin, the capital of Ireland.

On the day to the Cairo Airport from Mauaf Gadid, Alexandria.
Thanks my dear Hasmah n Fiza for sending us off :)

In Cairo Airport on our way to Dublin.

We then boarded the KLM plane and transited at Amsterdam for 4 hours before headed to Dublin on an Aer Lingus flight.

Alhamdulillah after about 5 hours plus journey, we landed safely at the Dublin Airport when afterwards kak yang came fetching us on her BMW.

Safely arrived in Dublin Airport.

Waiting for kak yang in front of the Terminal 1 entrance

We then went to kak yang's house and stayed there for the whole week. Alhamadulillah thanks kak yang and abg brian for the hospitality. really help us on cutting our expenses. arigatou!

The nice cosy bedroom where we stayed in for the whole one week in Ireland.

On the day we arrived in Dublin we didn't go anywhere much. just went to a malay shop 'hibiscus' and bought a bottle of chili sauce 'sos cili aminah' (the nostalgic aminah brand. huhu), a bottle of soy sauce 'kicap kipas udang' and a packet of 'nasi impit adabi'. Amazed that they have all those easily get 'stock malaysia' when it is hard for us to get it in egypt. but still confused why did peko needs to bring so many malaysia stock for his sister when in fact it is much easier for her to get the stocks there better then us. seriously confused 0.o

The next day we went touring around Dublin City. We mainly visited the Dublin Castle and Trinity Collage. To our surprise we even get free tickets to enter The Book of Kells inside the Trinity Collage. Alhamdulillah what a fortune :) But photographs are not allowed inside the exhibition. so no pictures for the books of kells, unfortunately.

But before we went around the Dublin City we went for a lunch at a Malaysian Chinese restaurant 'Nyonya' and i get myself a plate of 'nasi lemak' and a glass of carrot juice. laziz giddan!

Our last destination that day was the park in the middle of a round-a-bout in the center of the city. truly sorry that I forgot the name of the park. just can't remember what was it.

Before we headed back home that day, kak yang stopped by at the Asia Market, a small market that sells many asian food items. lucky them to hv such markets (hibiscus, asia market) in such a foreign country. just felt like home. how i wish those are present in egypt too. huhu

Think I'm getting tired of writing this post. Too long!! huhu. so i guess i should stop for now and save the next day's story for later. huhu. stay tuned ^_~

P/s: just hope i will have the courage to continue my story soon since tomorrow will be the start of another school semester. back to school... again =(
