Alkisahnya, waktu kat kelas 2 days back (if i'm not mistaken) deydey she had her ringtone with this gwiyomi song. and while we were waiting for the doctor, she kept on making those weird gwiyomi dance moves acting cute n stuff. i went like, what is this gwiyomi thing? a new tren or something. or myb a new korean phenomenon like one we had not long ago, the gangnam style. and so i just ignore it. but when i return home, opened the twitter, the tweeters kept on twitting bout gwiyomi. my curiosity piled up.
That evening while hanging around in nana's room, she was scrolling the fb newsfeed at that time when i asked her, "what is that with the gwiyomi thing people talked about too much?" she said, "aaa! that song is basically a korean kids song." and she showed me a video of a small kid, very cute girl doing gwiyomi. i watched it. yeah, it's cute. then she said, "there's one with a translation. a malay girl doing gwiyomi." in the description, it is said that the video was made for her husband. and so i watch.
As i watch the video carefully, i then thought "why is this girl seems so familiar?" after a long thought, i finally figured it out. ahaa! she's the wife of one of my senior at school. no wonder she seems so familiar. hehe. but truly she looks so cute in the video.
Today, as i was scrolling the fb newsfeed, i then noticed a status from my senior, the husband of that cute gwiyomi sister. in his status, he asked everyone who ever shared, tagged, etc the video of his wife doing gwiyomi to stop the spread of the video. here's his status,
Tak sangka, siapa mampu menduga bahawa video yg dibuat hanya sekadar for family and friends boleh tersebar sedemikian rupa. kakak comel yg buat video tu sendiri pon x pernah terfikir video dia akn menjadi sebegitu famous. tapi yg x bestnya ade la komen2 yg kurang enak. yg memuji tu lain cerita. yg mengutuk pon ade. ade yg kata dia nk cari publisiti, famous, buat2 comel biar semua laki tgk, etc. simpati pulak rase kat die. niat die baik, hanyalah sekadar hiburan buat suami n kwn2 rapat. tp dah jadi lain cerita pulak. huhu. itulah bahaya penyebaran cerita melalui laman sesawang. hanya di hujung jari bende kecik boleh tersebar luas. huhu.
Jadi beringat2lah kawan. zaman skg, zaman teknologi tanpa batasan ni macam2 boleh berlaku. kalau dulu org selalu kata, hati2 di jalan raya. tp skg even when you are sitting at home in front of ur computer you need to be extra cautious sbb malang (i may just replace it with...) kemalangan tidak berbau!

Okay2 serius jap.. The main thing is, the video was posted mainly for the entertainment of me, family and close friends. But clearly we underestimated the power of youtube other SNS, and the culture of our malaysian. Tiada tujuan langsung nak giler glamour,publisiti, or even nk timbul kan fitnah.
