It's not safe!

Today is Christmas~!

If u wanna know, Egyptians celebrate christmas on 7th January not on 25th December like in other places.. b.bb..but why? u ask me?? how shud i know....ask them la why.. hehe

Ok don't bother bout why they celebrate today not in december, coz it's non of my business n it's actually not the reason why i wanna post this.. so let it be as wut it is.. huhu

This morning the rain was pouring a bit heavy since the early morning even until nearly afternoon. I was at my friend's house sleeping over there yesterday night. At first i decided to go home early in the morning but because of the rain i couldn't n so decided to wait for the rain to stop n then walk back home.. but after waited for some time it still does not show any signs that the rain will stop. 

Without hesitation i took the decision to not wait any further n immediately by joining my friend as she too wants to go out to visit her ex-house mate who just got married last summer holiday, i walked home Reaching the four junction road, my friend n i were separated as she took the left roadway while i took right. And so here i go from now alone along the lonely wet pathway. Then just another few steps towards the front door of my imarah, when i was just about to cross the road suddenly a silver car stops in front of me. Well guess what, there's a policeman in the car and suddenly he started to ask me questions in arabic!! 

At first he was asking me my name and from where i come.. Later on he started to ask other questions that i couldn't understand. Felt a bit silly coz eventho i had attended an arabic class before but still there'e no improvement in my arabic language!! aiyoyo~ guess it really needs practice to be good in speaking.. And so he asked if i could understand english or not.. surely yes.. Then he started to ask me about my age and other things.. Lastly he asked where am i going? Briefly i answered "home", pointing my hand towards the building across the road.. 

Then he ask if i want him to send me home.. Upon hearing this my facial expression suddenly changed. I lost the smile i had and with a blur expression full of question marks i replied him "no, it's okay. Thank you".. So he just said okay and drove his car. I was surprised he asked that. In my head i just thought of bad things that could have had happened if i had said yes. After all it's friday morning. There's not much people around in streets. Most of them were in bed enjoying the day off. Even if i screamed my lungs out most probably nobody hears me. But i guess he was just trying to look an eye on me. 

After the bombing attack last 31st December, Alexandria is no longer render a safe place for you to run around especially today since it's the day of the celebration to the believers of the religion. Not to mention what religion it is, but u shud've known urself. I'm not the only one who was been approached by a policeman. Even yesterday my friend who was on his way back from the clinic was stuck in a roadblock. Another friend of mine told me that even the day before yesterday, the police were all over the shopping malls; carefour, san stefano.. They were putting on extra surveillance and protection. 

So here is just a reminder to all Alexandrian students. For these few days, it is safer for u all to be staying at home unless if u have something important to do. If it is just to hang out to have fun or to release tension, better if u postpone it to another week. Because Alexandria is not quite safe at the time being. Just be careful keyh~!
